and we are having a hannukah + shabbat house party. hannukah features miracles AND fried food. it’s our kinda holiday.

we’ll be eating and lighting a whole lotta jewish candles.

and once again we are meeting to find some shabbat outside.

when: saturday, 11.6, 2:30 PM.

what: we’ll be doing some (stroller friendly) hiking and some jewish stuff too.

what to bring: something to eat (we’ll make s’mores at the end) and $8 for parking.

where: lake lagunitas, click here for directions and meeting place.

if it is raining, bummer, we’re not going.

rsvp would be great, that way we’ll know how many to expect, etc.

what: a sweet service followed by talking about jewish stuff and eating.* did we say free babysitting? why yes, we did.

where: fernwood memorial home (most gorgeous space in marin)

when: 6:00 PM. next date: 5.20 (note this is on a 3rd friday)

why: hard to answer that one because it’s different for everyone.

*Details on eating: We are working with a local restaurant so everyone can eat after as an option. here’s how it works:

either leave after services and go eat wherever, go do your shabbat thing

OR bring food for your family (friends, self, whatever) and stay

OR order food and stay. We are working with CAFE DEL SOUL. You can see their menu at www.cafedelsoul.net. Pick what you want, call them at 415.388.1852 + pay over the phone. Remember to tell them you are with NITA!

we always send one person over there to bring back all the tasty food to eat right after services, so you don’t have to worry about getting it, okay?
